We’re looking for a Digital Designer to cover a parental leave, who can bring strategy, storytelling, and structure into every pixel. You’ll help shape how our brand comes to life across digital touchpoints, working closely with marketing and tech to create seamless, high-performing experiences.

About the role

As a Digital Designer at Rugvista, you’ll play a central role in ensuring a cohesive and conversion-optimized brand presence across web and digital channels. You’ll collaborate with developers, content creators, and marketers to build smart, scalable solutions – from frontpage elements and landing pages to newsletters, icons, and design guidelines for social media.

This is a role for someone who’s both a thinker and a doer – someone who loves systems and structure, but also gets excited by pixels, hierarchy, and micro-interactions. You’ll work with UX/UI principles, always keeping the customer journey and CRO top of mind. We’re also looking for someone curious about new technologies, especially how AI tools can support ideation and scale design execution.

How you make an impact

• Create digital experiences that balance inspiration with ease-of-use to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all digital output aligns with brand identity, guidelines, and business goals.
• Translate brand identity into engaging, user-centered digital experiences.
• Design and refine landing pages, frontpage elements, and conversion-focused content modules.
• Create scalable templates and modules for CRM (newsletters, automated flows, etc.).
• Design digital assets like icons, infographics, illustrations, and social templates.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners on UX/UI improvements.
• Provide input on CRO initiatives to help optimize performance and sales.
• Actively experiment with and propose AI-supported workflows and design tools.
• Be a cross-functional collaborator who bridges creative, marketing and tech.

What you bring

• A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, e-commerce, and customer behavior.
• Mobile-first approach and deep focus on optimizing design for engagement and conversion.
• Experience in working with or exploring AI tools for design ideation, automation or efficiency.
• High attention to detail and a structured approach to creative execution.
• Collaborative spirit, with experience working closely with developers, marketers, and content creators.
• Fluency in Figma, WordPress, Bloomreach, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).
• Understanding of front-end constraints and opportunities.
• Interest in branding, design systems, and interior aesthetics.
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in digital design, preferably in an e-commerce or performance-driven environment.
• A strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design, landing pages, and digital brand work.
• Hands-on experience with CRM/email design and scalable template development.
• Familiarity with working in cross-functional teams and agile environments.
• Passion for digital trends, CRO, and AI-supported creative workflows.
